oh lynley. you've been sick for a few days now. the worst kind of sick. the flu! I am not sure if gpa casper gave it to you, or if the actual flu shot gave it to you. but reguardless, you've been throwing up every so often and it's making me sad. you're just not yourself, which i can't blame you.

i love you. i love you enough to let you squeeze my neck covered in throw up, because your sad, and your tummy hurts. i'd get covered in your throw up any day to make you feel better.

i need to tell you something about your dad. so listen up.

your dad is an amazing man. When i first met him, i was so young. but i knew that he was special. he really is lynley. And he loves you. when you were first born, he took care of you like you were the most precious thing he's ever touched. and i think you were.

He is the only person that you wake up calling for. even if he's been at work for hours already.

you trust him. it's amazing howmuch you trust him already. i hope that that never changes. He's one boy that you can always trust to have your BEST interest at heart baby.

he loves me too. we love eachother. and we love this family. the three of us have amazing times together. sometimes, you see me and dad not get along too well. but always know that deep down, where it really matters, we will never anything happen to this family unit.

your dad works so hard for us. he sacrafices, everything, so that you (and i) can have such a good life. Always remember to say thank you to him, he likes that.

this is your new favorite word! only you like to say in it this sassy, high-pitched tone. let me tell you missy, mommy and daddy are not likin' it.

BUt, as annoying as this new found word is, it's pretty cute too. Seriously in the last 3 days, you've learned that you have an opinion. and if your lucky, mom may just listen to that opinion. (for instance when you have one last bite, and mom's trying to get it into your belly and you arch your back and say "no!" "no!" mom gives up and lets you out)

oh sweet girl. you're getting so big. i think i say that ever post. but you are!

today i'm going to let you frost some sugar cookies shaped like trees. i need to take pictures. oh and i've got the flip out, so i can video you agian. I dunno why i stopped! i know that someday, i'm going to miss my little miss dearly, and will cry my eyeballs out when i watch you run around our house, babbling, falling, and laughing.

Shutterfly is doing this great promo for all bloggers! including me. thank goodness :) I go on and on about how much i love shutterfly, and they give me 50 free christmas cards. can i think of anything better? no i CANNOT!

okay, here's a few things that i loovvee about shutterfly. first of all, thier AFFORDABLE! their products are high quality. I haven't ordered a whole lot from them, but from what i have heard from others they seem like a fab company. I did however order a wedding book from them.

let me tell you about that expirience: it was great! it was easy to put the pictures together in a pleasing way, it was easy to organize them, it was adorable, and the editing process was easy too. I ordered it, and it came right when i expected it to come. it came packaged beautifully and professional.

have you taken a look at their cards?? especially their christmas cards of course! they have about a million different kinds to choose from. which i love. who wants to send out cards...and recieve that same card 10 times? (that happened to me one year when i ordered them from costco)

for now, i'm trying to get over you out growing a pair of shoes. it's something i can't explain, and you'll never understand until you have your firs baby girl. every milestone is beyond exciting, and beyond devestating at the same time. it's something like, every day around 2pm, i realize that everything i have right now, someday will be gone.

that i look at you and just can't belive it.

you are getting so big, so smart, so independant, so fast, so busy, so interested in the world around you, so funny, so..your own little person. and it all happened over night i tell ya. lynley, where did my 5 lb baby go? it's like i woke up one day to get you out of bed and there you were, big. literally jumping up and down in your crib!

Dad doesn't get this, but i cry some nights after i put you to bed. it's my least favorite time of the day..becuase i don't see you for 12+ hours. and i kknow that during those 12 hours...my babies getting bigger and bigger.

tonight i just wanted to hold you until you fell asleep. we rocked in the green chair with your baba while i sang to you for awhile...until you wanted to be in your bed so you could sleep. i'm not saying it hurt my feelings haha but i'm just not ready.

you go to nursery now you see, this is a big step for me. usually church is 3 hours of keeping a very close eye on you. now...you go into the room accross the hall and play with other kids, while other ladies watch you and give you snack. we haven't done a whole lot of stranger baby sitters...so this is just alot for me.

you are so smart. i'm not just saying that because i'm your mom. you really are! ask anyone. lynley, you have the best little spirit around this house. when me and dad are fighting or not happy, you walk in the room and demand that we be a happy family. you make us want to be better people. to be successful. to make it through anything this world has to throw at us.

i just saw a picture of us at aunt brittney's wedding, a year ago, and i cried. where has my chubby baby gone? becuase now, you're a little person. its just too much for me to handle.

here's all the new things taht you do, that me and dad just can't get enough of. OH and often times strangers can't get enough of either (this happens frequently)

1. you tickle yourself or others saying "tickletickletickcle" it's so funny
2. everytime someone pulls out a camera you say "CHEEEEESSSSEEEE" even if their not taking YOUR picture. must becuase mom's always got a camera attached to her head, or maybe your the center of atttention? who knows but its' dang cute

4. as of yesterday, you say "happy" "happy" over and over agian
5. you carry aroud my old cabbage patch doll saying "baby"
6. you have an extensively long dental hygene routine going on, i often find our toothbrushes in strange places

dad's currently out of town for the week for work, so today we had a great day. after you woke up, we got back into my bed and cuddeled for awhile, then ate breakfast, then i tried to put you down for a nap, with no luck, then we went and bought you a NEW stroller, then we wen tto grandma's to swim. i taught you how to float on your back with me just holding your head. you weren't scared at all! then we went to Gavin's first soccer game of the season. fun stuff dear.

okay, i gotta go plug my phone in and call dad, he's gonna kill me for taking so long.

i love you lynley. more than anything. remember that when your a teenager and i'm being hard on you, okay?? I'd do anything for you.

jump on it

oh my goodness. last for family night we went to this place called jump on it! its basically..trampolines as far as you can see. there is a little kid section, and a big kid section. luckily there were hardly any kids in the baby section, you had a ball. running around so fast i couldn't catch you! you love playing the other kids too. we didn't leave until like 8:45pm and you were so tired, and sweaty! (just like dad)

i love watching you learn new things. you really have a mind of your own lately. you know what you want, and what you don't want. You know how to make mom give you your way.. (already, i'm in for it huh?)

This last weekend, we went to washington. i ran a big race that i've been training for for a long time, and you stayed with grandma and grandpa casper! they had so much fun with you, dad flew up there after 2 days to be with you too.

boy did i miss you. this was the LONGEST time i've been away from you. and it was hard. i missed your squeezes, your chubby hands and feet, your giggles, your sweet sweet eyes, i missed your whispy hair! oh i missed you laying on my chest. When i got to the house, it was hard not to wake you up! the next morning, i couldn't wait to get you in bed with us. :) and you were happy to see me too i think :)

ugh. this past week, and it's only thursday, has been LONG. we've been looking at houses, trying to find one to buy! it's so exciting, scary, and vry unsure process. we've made offer's on 5 different houses!! we're in backup position's in a few, and we're still wiating to hear back on some others. It's fun for me to walk through a house and trty and picture our lives there. Look at schools for you. see bedrooms for you and future children. It's crazy

i just want you to know how much i love your dad. He is such a great man lynley. He loves you, so much. He makes you laugh, like no one else! (believe me, i try!) but when he walks in the door, you're all over him, playing, screaming in laughter. literally haha. He doesn't always get to play with you everyday, because he's sooo darn busy right now, trying to make a better future for us. I have no doubt that he will either. he works like a dog for us.. Me and him, we're going to be in love forever, i don't ever want you to question that.

hey babes--

we've been busy, busy, busy lately! We're sooo lucky that you just go with the flow so great, sleep wherever, eat whatever, whenever, go to whoever! You just think that evryone is "your people". We went to the pool twice last week, because the weather is FINALLY starting to get nice! But, i looked over at you, and you were squeezing your way in between this couple who was sitting on the edge! it was so funny, just like they were another gma or gpa or something! And you got your first kiss taht same day- a 2 or so yr old boy locked lips with you swimming. haha Stinks for him, you had a snotty nose.

For the 4th we went to Idaho falls to see family there! we stayed with Mills, and you played wtih all the kids NON STOP. I really don't think you were ever put down, unless you wre in the the middle of the room, with everyone focused on you trying to walk, or being silly! And boy are you silly.

You're starting to walk!! 14 months..and still a little drunken baby. :) I'm in noo hurry to have to running around the houes quite yet, but it is so so fun to see you learn all new things. you're walking more and more everyday-- real quick i'll list your words:

Hi lovebug-

Today was so fun with you. you've learned how to go down slides all by yourself! at the park, there was this baby who was 1 month younger then you, but way smaller and she was walking all around..you would stand up right in front of her and get all excited, then fall on your bum. haha i thought it was so funny.

I have enjoyed you so much lately. every morning, i cna't wait to get you out of bed (i always have to wake you up at like 9:30!) you're so fun, and funny, and sweet. but that's not to say you don't have a little naughty streak in you! you've learned how to whine..when you want something. and you know when i'm telling you "no" you look at me..and will slam your hand on the table or whatever haha it's so funny, but i'm trying to teach you all the things taht you need to learn, please, thankyou, all those good things.

three amigos

Guess what?! you're new baby cousin was born yesterday! now you have 2!! I hope that you grow up loving all your cousins--i want you guys to love eachother and have so much fun at our family trips to priest lake!

This week has been crazy! i feel like we haven't been home at all. its just GO-GO-GO! you've hardly even been getting your naps! even when your so so so tired, you never throw fits and scream and cry..you just blink realllly heavy haha.

So, here's some of the stuff we've done this week! okay- we went to one of my friends from highschool's bridal shower! Christina. It was fun..everyone just adored you, and i loved showing you off. some of the girls are still just doing nothing with their lives, and here i am, with the best family! I love where i am, although i got off to a very early start with you and daddy, i wouldn't rather be ANYWHERE else! we're the three amigos, and i love that.

I ran 4 miles yesterday!! longest i've ever run so far! i'm starting to get nervous for our big Raganr Race in july..eek!

lets see..what else? we've been to 2 soccer games..one for jake (who you absolutly love. if you see him walk in the room you freak out and reach for him..kiss him with your eyes closed it's so funny) and one for gav.
we went to lunch with grandma yesterday, and shopping for bridal gifts and wedding flowers.
i don't know, i was just so exhausted last night from all the running around and felt bad for dragging you along with me everywhere! but, you were so good, as always!

I can't believe it. On monday, you're going to officially be ONE. Today, we had your birthday party..and i was gorgeous outside! *luckily* It was acutally a celebration for you AND dad..but dad spent the whole time over the BBQ cookin the chicken! pooorrr dad. we've had the BEST weather the past few days..everyday we sit outside for hours soaking up the sun. you in your pink stripped sun hat and 50 spf sunscreen (i'm paranoid about you getting sunburned!) We go to parks and swing, have picnics in our front yard on a blanket, we eat strawberris (you in just your diaper) which are you're favorite treat. we go to soccer games, and cheer on your uncles gav & jake. We do yard work with dad.

This summer/spring is just going to be the BEST. It's going to be FULL of firsts for all of us.

Dad is looking at a really good job right now..and we just are crossing our fingers and praying that the bosses will want tyler..and the sooner the better.

We love you so much lyn. we want the best for you. every choice and descion we make..we have you and only you in mind. You are our everything. dad works so so so hard to provide for us, it's amazing. He's such a good daddy to you. he comes home from work, dirty, tired, hungry....but all he wants to do is hug you. if your still taking your nap..he BEGS me to WAKE YOU UP!! hehe. Today..

is going to be magical! we've had COLD snowy, rainy days for what seems like forever. but tday is ging to be beautiful. we're going to play outside, plan flowers, laugh smile, and maybe eat a treat or two. i'm staring at you...your sitting in your high chair looking out at the sunny backyard..i know youre excited too!!

also, you discovered your sippy cup today!! up until now, you haven't been very interested in the thing...now you won't take it out of your mouth!!

But, i also kew that if i went to get you..you wouldn't be able to fall back asleep.. so i decided to let you fall bak asleep on your own..which yo udid. but it broke my heart to lay in bed and listen to you whimper your self back to sleep!

hey gurrrl!

Here's some pics from our spring break trip to washington! you got to play with grandma & grandpa casper, aunt brianna and uncle tanner! They just loved you so much. You played in the grass for the first time, and you didn't really like it. you got yourslef into this crazy yoga postion so that you didn't hav eto touch it haha it was so funny! I was tring to take pictures of you, but you would stop staring at Chip, gma and gpa's doggie. I think you were kinda scared, but interested at the same time.

You also were teething the whole trip...which most babies just cry all day and night..but you just were slightly fussy! actually you were amazing. You always are.

I love you girlfriend. You're taking a nap right now..i needed to do some blogging and laundry and i kept having to chase you out of the bathroom :) I love that your crawling around everywhre.

Last night we went to a benifit concert for someone in our (mom and wade)'s ward. a little boy whose 12, whos dying of cancer. The whole time i was choked up, because i just feel so blessed that you're healthy, and you're here, and you're mine! You fell asleep in the stoller, even with all the loud country music! Everyone couldn't get enough of you, you're just so stinkin adorable.

anyways, i better go get something doen, so we can go to some stores today! xoxo

I made this blog just for you! but...mom didn't do a good job at keeping it up. But, i've been thinking a little more, and i want to start it agian.

It's usually just you and me around this house- and sometimes i find myself talking to you like we're just girl friends doing dishes and eating cheetos. i know that you cant understand me, and sometimes you look at me with a confused face, or you just start laughing at me, but i love it. I love having you follow me around the house as i fold laundry, or dust the shelves. I love hanging out all afternoon playing with toys or reading books in our warm sunny family room. Sometimes, after dad goes to school, we crawl back into bed and play under the sheets. Sometimes, we go for long walks or jogs around the neighborhood. Sometimes we go to grocery store, and i can harldy get down the isle without soemone just oogling over you--and you at them.

Who could blame them?

You are an infectious little girl. Sometimes, when i'm really sad...maybe even crying, you smile and it just pulls me from wherever i am, and back to you. back to your smiles and laughs.

I'm going to write about our adventures little lady. I'm going to write aobut YOUR adventures.
